The Opportunity
Our Trimmer Technicians will assist the Operations Management team with the manicuring of all dried cannabis flower prior to the production stage of our product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be punctual, trustworthy, have strong attention to detail and have flexibility with ongoing working schedules. This jobs schedule will be consistently fluctuating based on harvest &amp; curing schedules. Having a positive mindset and be able to communicate clearly and effectively is critical.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
These include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily Tasks:

<li>Manicure dried cannabis flowers to satisfy department standards of appearance and overall quality</li>
<li>Adapt to varying strains, styles, and types of marijuana being trimmed</li>
<li>Adjust techniques to maintain a steady pace without sacrificing the quality of output</li>
<li>Work with Inventory Assistants to communicate your daily output including processed plant counts.</li>
<li>Assist in the sanitization, organization, and proper storage of all tools</li>

The Manager is responsible for ensuring a positive relationship between the agency and its employees by fostering a culture of open communication, trust, and respect. This role is also responsible for maintaining and interpreting P&amp;C programs, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements while ensuring satisfactory labor management relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of People &amp; Culture to develop and implement strategic initiatives and workplan for the P&amp;C team, ensuring we successfully meet contract obligations, department goals, and will serve as an ambassador for JVS SoCal’s vision, goals, mission, and overall values. This position qualifies for a hybrid schedule when possible. The ideal schedule allows for two work-from-home days and three days on site. Sites and schedule will vary depending on priorities.
Requirements:

<li>BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, with at least two years of employee relations management experience. </li>

Become a Vegetation Technician with Hotshot Arbor Care and do things right, the first time. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License.
 
These are full-time, hourly positions and they are 100 percent field based. Work locations will generally be in and around Santa Barbara County, LA County, Ventura County.
Vegetation Technicians will perform a variety of vegetation management duties under the leadership of a supervisor to maintain compliance for PRC 4292.
 
Responsibilities:

Vegetation Technician

Become a Vegetation Technician with Hotshot Arbor Care and do things right, the first time. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License.
 
These are full-time, hourly positions and they are 100 percent field based. Work locations will generally be in and around Santa Barbara County, LA County, Ventura County.
Vegetation Technicians will perform a variety of vegetation management duties under the leadership of a supervisor to maintain compliance for PRC 4292.
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Execute tasks related to vegetation management</li>
<li>Safely operate various small equipment including loppers, pole saws, leaf blowers, and chainsaws for maintenance purposes</li>
<li>Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment, maintaining detailed logs</li>
<li>Adhere strictly to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols</li>
<li>Report any safety concerns promptly to team leads or relevant personnel, fostering a culture of open communication</li>
<li>Contribute to a zero-injury environment by actively engaging in safety programs, meetings, and training sessions</li>
<li>Undertake additional vegetation and maintenance duties as needed, maintaining consistent standards</li>
<li>Assess clearance needs and identify exceptions as required</li>

Daily Workflow:

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader at Brush Hog Tree Care Inc. The role requires hands-on work in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader, you'll lead a 2-5 person tree care crew while managing safe and productive performance of all aspects of arboriculture, including:
Pruning trees
Rigging
Cabling and bracing
Removal of hazardous trees
Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, leaf blowers, chippers, tractor, aerial lifts, etc.)
Implementing work zone safety procedures
Performing and reporting job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks (i.e. tailgate safety meetings, job briefings at each job site, etc.)
Collaboratively working with Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders working on the ground and aloft
Tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
Assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
Mentoring and training employees
Traffic and pedestrian control, and other relevant duties as operationally necessary
Drive company vehicles and equipment (as needed)
Assist aerial workers and tree care crew in all aspects of tree care and removal
Able to work with and without direct supervision
This is a senior-level role that reports directly to the General Foreman
 
Qualifications

Climbing Arborist Crew Leader

Coordinate activities with the Commodity Manager such as Harvest Estimates, Timing, and Quality. Communicate with growers when fields need water. Carry out the Harvest Plan for the current week with the Commodity Manager. Determine when, where, and how much product will be harvested on any given day; continuously work with harvest crews to ensure that the quality of the pack meets the company's standards. Records information, such as Quality, Supply, Timing, Yield, and Lost Acres. Enforces safety regulations and ensures policies are being followed. Travel to Yuma, AZ / Blythe, CA to oversee Broccoli / Cauliflower harvest. Approximately December through March.
