Job Title: Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team! This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, tools, and street-legal vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in mechanical systems, proactive with preventative maintenance, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems including engines, fuel systems, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, suspension, brakes, A/C, and drive lines.

Perform routine and complex maintenance on landscape equipment (e.g., mowers, trenchers, chainsaws), tools, and commercial fleet vehicles.

Rebuild and repair hydraulic systems (cylinders, valves, hoses, and piping).

Conduct DOT and CADOT inspections; complete necessary documentation and update service records.

Identify necessary repairs, source parts from suppliers, and track maintenance using service logs.

Weld and fabricate custom components as needed.

Follow mechanical schematics, diagrams, and manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.

Maintain a clean and organized workshop and ensure all tools and equipment are in working order.

Uphold company safety standards and OSHA compliance, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to review work orders, determine priorities, and evaluate completed repairs.

Provide support for inventory management, ordering parts, and tracking equipment history.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical repair and diagnostics for vehicles and equipment.

Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic brakes.

Valid Class C Driver’s License (must be maintained throughout employment).

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Familiarity with safety protocols and hazardous material handling.

Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred:

Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus.
-
Experience with landscape and construction equipment is highly desirable.
Salary range: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE
