<li>Property Management
<ul>
<li>Oversee the activities of third-party property managers, including lease and sales negotiations, as well as the maintenance and operational integrity of all managed properties.</li>
<li>Evaluate the return on investment of all university-owned property and recommend actions to optimize the value for the university.</li>

<li>Capital Planning and Projects
<ul>
<li>Co-lead the campus master planning process; implement systems to manage workflow, assets, and capital projects effectively.</li>
<li>Provide leadership and technical expertise in long-range project planning, design, and construction; landscape planning; and maintenance and repair operations.</li>
<li>Manage contractors and vendors associated with facilities development and operations. Oversee the implementation and documentation of the University plans, historic facilities records, and archives.</li>
<li>Serve as the point of contact with appropriate city and county staff, agencies, commissions, and committees involved with approval, permitting and inspections of campus facilities.</li>
<li>Provide leadership on the implementation of federal regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) construction and building accommodation requirements, and CalOSHA and Fed-OSHA Industrial Safety orders.</li>

<li>Facilities Operations

<li>Oversee daily repair and maintenance of existing university-owned and controlled facilities.</li>
<li>Develop and implement a capital improvement and deferred maintenance program, including oversight of the renewal and replacement of facility and utility projects across their lifecycle.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and keep updated to any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.</li>
<li>Create and maintain regulatory programs and submit required reports and data to federal, state, and local agencies.</li>

<li>Campus Safety, Security, and Emergency Management (outsourced)

<li>Administer the Clery Act and serve as the Clery compliance officer.</li>

<li>Provide leadership for a comprehensive safety strategy, security operation, and emergency response plan for the campus.</li>

 Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>A bachelor's degree is required in facilities management, engineering, property management, or a related field. </li>
<li>7+ years of demonstrated success in senior-level facilities management with an emphasis on quality service, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.</li>
<li>3+ years of supervisory experience, managing and coaching team members. </li>
<li>Experience managing major construction and renovation projects effectively.</li>
<li>Experience working with oversight committees and local/state authorities.</li>

Responsibilities &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Spearhead rights management for all contracts, including but not limited to network, distribution, acquisitions, production partner, sponsorship, and talent agreements, maintaining an organized system that streamlines the process of identifying terms, rights, avails, participations, holdbacks, and territories. Input rights information into our rights management software.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Consult with counsel, perform legal review and rights interpretation of contracts to provide contractual obligation summaries to various departments, including fielding questions as it relates to contractual terms, restrictions, and interpretations of deals</li>
<li>Work with Vice President, Business Affairs and outside counsel on title clearance, trademark, and copyright questions</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with all production teams to ensure appearance, location, footage, and materials releases are signed with the necessary rights and protections obtained. Includes reviewing and redlining third-party releases, reviewing and responding to third-party redlines to HMPG releases, and answering questions from teams about usage rights from various sites and resources, all under tight deadlines while working with Vice President, Business Affairs and outside counsel as needed</li>
<li>Work with Vice President, Business Affairs and outside counsel and production teams on FCC and FTC compliance and regulatory concerns for broadcast and digital projects</li>
<li>Support other Business Affairs team members with occasional broadcast standards and practices review</li>
<li>Complete rights and clearances review of program cuts&nbsp;</li>

Experience
<ul>
<li>5+ years’ experience in entertainment business affairs, production management, rights management, and/or clearance coordination</li>
<li>Production company, entertainment law firm, or studio/network experience required</li>

As a member of the UC Office of Federal Governmental Relations (UC FGR), the Director of Federal Business and Finance Affairs provides support to the university in meeting federal relations objectives and priorities and may be assigned additional issue areas by the Associate Vice President for Federal Governmental Relations. This position has significant policy and fiscal implications for the University of California system. Responsibilities 50% Advocacy: Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Federal Governmental Relations, the Director serves as one of the university's primary advocates in Washington and advocates on higher education and research-related business and finance issues, including labor relations, tax, contractor management, capital assets and infrastructure, economic development and intellectual property, and student athletics. Essential Functions&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Oversee NCYL’sfundraising efforts, including individual donors, major donors, lawfirm giving and more.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure that individualdonors are inspired by NCYL’s mission and vision and are activelyengaged in funding the advancement of our goals.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Build strongrelationships with donors and major donors and support theExecutive Director, staff, and board in doing the same. Serve asthe primary contact for donors.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>​​​Oversee all aspectsof individual giving, including annual fundraising campaigns,research, identification, cultivation, solicitation, andstewardship of prospective and current donors.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Work with the SeniorDirector of Philanthropy to develop and carry out a comprehensiveand actionable Major Gifts plan.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>​​​Manage a portfolio ofindividual major donors, moving these donors to give increasinglylarger, multi-year gift commitments.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Leverage board membersto engage in fundraising.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with theSenior Director of Communications on strategic messaging anddigital fundraising and to raise the organization'sprofile.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Supervise keydevelopment staff.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Develop a deepunderstanding of NCYL’s programmatic work to ensure accuraterepresentation of our work to donors and the public.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>​​​Proven track recordof raising large six figure, multi-year commitments from newsources.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>​​​3 years’ experiencesupervising development team members.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Experience building amajor donor program.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Strong leadershipexperience with the demonstrated ability to mentor and build theskills of staff.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Computer proficiency andan aptitude for learning new systems and software.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity withSalesforce or other CRMs and grant management tools.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of thefunding landscape and the ability to locate opportunities for theorganization.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Outstandingcommunication skills, both verbal and written.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Able to ​​occasionallywork weekends and evenings.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Able to travel toattend funder meetings and participate in quarterly team retreatsand occasional meetings with leadership at headquarters.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
PhysicalRequirements &nbsp;
Prolonged periodssitting at a desk and working on a computer. This position mayrequire some travel.&nbsp;
Salary,Benefits, and Location &nbsp;
This is afull-time, exempt position with a competitive salary of $163,379.00annually. A geographic salary differential may be applied if thecandidate resides somewhere other than the Oakland, CA, LosAngeles, CA, New York City, or Washington, DC metro areas. Thismeans that the salary would be reduced if the candidate resides inan area where the cost of labor is less than that of the SanFrancisco Bay Area.&nbsp;

NCYL isregistered to do business in the following 13 locations: Arizona,California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts,Michigan, New York, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, DC, andWisconsin. If a candidate is hired but lives in a state where NCYLis not currently registered to do business, their start date mayneed to be delayed until registration can be completed in the newstate. This process may take as much as three months tocomplete.&nbsp;
It is anticipated but not guaranteed that NCYL’s remote workapproach will be in place through 2026. If this policy is revokedprior to 2026, staff will be given at least one year's noticebefore being recalled to a NCYL office.&nbsp; &nbsp;
All positions at NCYL are at-will and paid for by grants anddonations, thus employment with NCYL will be contingent uponcontinued receipt of funding. Nothing in the statement changes theat-will employment relationship.&nbsp;
