Hilton Garden Inn is currently seeking a full time houseman to cover overnight and swing shifts for our 90-room full service hotel.
JOB SUMMARY
The Houseperson is hired in a fiduciary position, responsible for the security of the employer’s monies and properties at all times. The Houseperson is responsible for the security and safety of employer, guest and all other employees. The Houseman’s responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction by providing efficient, courteous and professional services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Maintains cleanliness of public spaces including restrooms, lobby, business center, lodge area, pool area, corridors, fitness center and conference rooms.
3. Promptly responds to front desk reports of in-house guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete.
4. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area and effectively assists guests.
5. Maintains the grounds, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner.
6. Safely and courteously shuttles guests to and from their destinations while obeying all traffic and safety laws.
7. Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle van and notifies supervisor of any necessary vehicle repairs needed.
8. Set up and tear down of meetings according to conference specifications.
9. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for all employees and guests.
10. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his\her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
11. Performs other duties as requested or required by management and or owner.
12. Maintain accurate use of all required logs including shuttle log, shift log, key logs, etc.
13. Assist maintenance with general maintenance of building when needed including changing light bulbs, cleaning filters, and other maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure a great guest experience.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
1. Ability to accept directions and priorities from supervisor and reliably follow through on tasks.
2. Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest.
3. Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers.
4. Ability to cooperate and support others.
5. Ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the hospitality industry, and provide outstanding customer service to hotel guests. In order to meet insurance requirements candidate must have a 5 year clean driving record and be over the age of 21. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and have reliable transportation.
