We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in managing high-volume, multi-state payroll operations and a strong understanding of compliance standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 235 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations in California, Arizona, and Colorado.
• Process garnishments, resolve payroll discrepancies, and maintain time and attendance systems.
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries with attention to detail.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit standards during payroll processing.
• Utilize Paycom systems to track timekeeping and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Generate payroll reports and analytics using Excel tools, such as Pivot Tables.
• Collaborate with various departments to address payroll-related concerns and support year-end reporting requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including handling multi-state payroll.
• Proficiency in payroll systems, particularly Paycom, and strong skills in Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll compliance standards and best practices.
• Experience in processing garnishments and preparing journal entries.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
