Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tractors and related equipment to perform tasks including digging, grading, leveling, and moving earth or materials for home construction sites.
- Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris, grading land, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Load and unload construction materials, such as gravel, sand, or dirt, using tractor attachments like buckets or blades.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow supervisor instructions to meet site preparation requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with construction crews to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed during downtime.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL or heavy equipment operator certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating tractors or similar heavy machinery in construction or related fields.
- Knowledge of construction site operations, including grading and excavation techniques.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans or blueprints is preferred.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
