Job DescriptionWe are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Auto Body Parts Specialist to manage all aspects of parts inventory, including receiving, storing, selling, and reporting.
The Auto Body Parts Specialist is responsible for maintaining an organized parts department, providing excellent customer service, and coordinating with the repair technicians to ensure they have the right parts in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of auto body parts, be able to operate inventory management software, and have excellent customer service skills.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Identifying the correct auto body parts and components needed for repairs
- Consulting with mechanics and customers to understand their parts needs
- Inspecting parts for defects and ensuring their quality before purchase or installation
- Ordering auto body parts from manufacturers or wholesalers as needed
- Maintaining an organized inventory of auto body parts
- Handling returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect parts
- Keeping updated with new auto parts and their compatibility with various models
- Assisting with parts installation when required
- Processing customer payments for parts purchases
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing Techs concerns and inquiries about auto parts.
- Maintain an organized and clean parts department
- Manage all aspects of parts inventory, including receiving, storing, selling, and reporting
- Conduct inventory control activities and audits to prevent discrepancies
- Develop relationships with parts suppliers and place orders as needed
- Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Parts Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of vehicle parts
- Experience with inventory management software
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good physical condition to lift heavy items and remain on feet for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
