Job Description
As a Quality Control Chemist, you will utilize independent judgment to analyze and determine the quality of products using relevant analytical equipment. You will be responsible for conducting various laboratory procedures related to the analysis of bulk and pharmaceutical chemicals.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of samples using laboratory equipment and techniques such as FT-IR, Loss On Drying, Non-volatile Residue, and moisture analysis.
- Operate and analyze samples using GC systems.
- Maintain a thorough and organized laboratory notebook.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with laboratory instruments.
- Conduct peer reviews of commercial product laboratory data.
- Apply critical thinking and specialized knowledge to safely and accurately analyze chemical entities.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in chemistry or biochemistry.
- Experience with FTIR, KF, and GC techniques.
- Strong laboratory and quality control skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Experience with analytical laboratory equipment.
- Ability to use chemical laboratory process and test equipment.
Work Environment
The work environment includes areas where a wide variety of chemical materials are used and stored, with potential exposure to variable noise levels. Safety for both personnel and equipment is paramount. The QC Laboratory operates 24/7/365, and candidates must be open to working all shifts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
