SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
The Chemical Handler - Trainee is responsible for making chemical additions, new make ups, and all other chemical maintenance requirements to all tanks and conveyor equipment as requested by the Chemical Laboratory and/or procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Chemical Handler, Trainee
- Make chemical additions.
- Make new bath make-up and chemical maintenance.
- Communicate with the supervisor and managers about issues with the tanks and downtime.
- Report and focus on the hazardous chemical handling as per safety rules and regulations to the supervisor.
- Ability to follow and comply with the company’s internal safety policies as well as external regulatory agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to be trained on chemical analysis.
- Basic understanding of the metric system for weights and measurements.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, protective glasses, face shields, aprons, rubber boots, etc. Must not be allergic to common forms of rubber and plastic use of PPE.
- Ability to work within the confines of a room where concentrations of chemicals are located and work around very hot equipment and molten solder.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and able to stand/walk throughout the day.
- Ability to move drums of chemicals using the proper equipment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills preferred.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain the quality of products at all time.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new skills and tasks as required.
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

ENVIRONMENT:
The manufacturing facility is exposed to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
- May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to perform the work.
