The Golf Course Equipment Mechanic will work with the Head Equipment Manager in repairing and maintaining all golf course equipment. As a team player, the Golf Course Mechanic will occasionally be asked to help on the golf course and with various projects. This will allow for involvement in multiple areas of the operation and not limit you to just the shop all day. Training under an Equipment Manager with many years in the industry, you will have an opportunity to advance in experience, perfect your skills, and be provided with employment opportunities within the golf industry. We also have an excellent equipment budget and purchase program that allows for a rotation of new equipment on a consistent basis. We will also provide continuing education and training from various outside sources to help you grow as an equipment technician.
Work Hours: Non-Exempt Full-Time 40 hours
Pay Range: $34 to $38 ($70,000 to $80,000 per year) - Depending on Experience
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work proactively relative to equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime and loss of staff productivity
- Prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work relative to golf course operations
- Adjust mowers correctly to the superintendent’s standards
- Assists and provides technical expertise to golf course cart mechanic as necessary
- Servicing equipment pieces including filter change, safety inspection, repair/replace worn out or broken parts
- Maintains inventory of shelf stock of repair parts, nuts and bolts, belts, hoses
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment inside and outside
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years mechanic experience (required)
- Be able to lift/pull 50 pounds and be able to be on your feet 8 hours a day
