JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable Club Basketball Coach to lead, mentor, and develop youth athletes within our competitive basketball program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the game, and the ability to foster both individual player growth and team success in a positive and structured environment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coaching & Player Development:
- Plan and conduct high-quality practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and basketball IQ.
- Teach offensive and defensive systems in alignment with the club’s philosophy.
- Provide individualized feedback and guidance to help players improve.
Team Management:
- Select team rosters through tryouts and evaluations.
- Develop game strategies, manage in-game decisions, and handle player rotations.
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with players, parents, and program administrators.
- Provide updates regarding schedules, travel logistics, tournaments, and expectations.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth athletes.
Logistics & Administration:
- Coordinate with club staff for tournament registrations and travel arrangements.
- Adhere to Club and program rules, policies, and safety guidelines.
Reffing:
- Call fouls, manage teams, control the game in a professional manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous coaching experience at the youth, high school, or Club level strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and training techniques.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for practices, games, and tournaments.
COMPENSATION
- Competitive stipend or hourly pay (based on experience and program structure).
- $50 + bonuses per practice and/or game per team
