Location: Oakland, CA

ACC Environmental Consultant Company, has an opportunity for a detail oriented, well organized, dependable Geologist, for our Bay Area location. This mid level, full-time position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to learn. This position is a combination of field and office work with a heavy focus on field efforts, data evaluation and reporting. This position requires some travel. Anticipated travel amount is up to 20%.

Successful Candidates Should Have:

• Preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience required.
• Familiar with environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, groundwater/soil sampling, assessment, characterization, and date quality review/date evaluation.
• Provides support, including data management and statistical analysis, preparation of technical documents, figures and investigations.
• Maintains, and provides periodic reports.
• Manages data requests with various stakeholders and evaluates and prepares responses to regulatory issues.
• Must be willing to travel within the state of Oregon, Washington, Idaho.
• Oral and written communications are very important for this position.
• Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail oriented and strong organization skills.
• Proven ability to perform in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline driven environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at a given time.
• Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
• OSHA 40-hour Hazmat training a plus.
• Proficient with several computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in geology, environmental geology, engineering or related discipline.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• LG or RG preferred or the ability to acquire GIT within two years of employment.
