Job Description
Job Title: Computational Scientist - Oncology
Location: Remote in the US or Canada is OK, but must be available during PST business hours.
Duration: 12+ months, with possibility for extension
Pa Rate: $40-$45/Hr.W2
Responsibilities
● Collaborate with scientists in Computational Oncology and Translational Medicine to analyze clinical datasets to address scientific hypotheses and deliver novel insights.
● Develop analytical approaches to integrate and interpret these data, delivering insights into disease biology and mechanisms of action to propel our pipeline and clinical research goals.
● Synthesize complex computational results into clear, actionable insights for internal medical stakeholders and external scientific publications.
● Thoroughly document code, analysis processes, and findings.
Requirements
● Experience (3-4 years) in the analysis of large-scale bulk data (RNA, WES), single-cell RNA-seq, ctDNA, clinical, and real-world data including gold-standard methods and novel, advanced analytical techniques such as: ○ Multivariate statistical analyses ○ Multimodal data integration methods ○ Predictive/Prognostic analyses including Kaplan–Meier survival analysis
● Expertise in the following areas: cancer biology, clinical omics data, with real-world data experience a bonus.
● Master’s or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
● Proficiency in R and shell scripting, with knowledge of Python a bonus.
● Experience working with Git and high-performance computing.
● High self-motivation and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
● Ability to produce high-quality analysis results with minimal supervision, including meeting key deadlines and making independent decisions.
● Excellent communication skills and experience working as part of a team.
