Staff Engineer
DIRECT HIRE
Location: Hybrid — SF / NYC / Vancouver (3 days/week)
Salary: $100k - $200k per year + equity and benefits

Summary
Build the brain that powers an AI/GTM product. We’re hiring a Staff Engineer to lead the context and orchestration layer — turn messy GTM data into reliable, low-latency production systems. If you love 0→1 product work, pragmatic trade-offs, and mentoring engineers while shipping real product, this is your stage.
Why this role matters
You’ll own the plumbing that makes agents and orchestration actually work in production: multi-source ingestion, tenant-isolated context graphs, planner/executor patterns, and the reliability instrumentation that keeps the lights on. Your work will directly impact product outcomes and company velocity.
Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and operate the context & orchestration layer (Python + AWS) for multi-tenant customers.
· Turn messy GTM data into reliable, tenant-isolated context graphs and retrievals.
· Build planner/executor/agent orchestration patterns and design for graceful failure modes.
· Define SLOs, add observability, tune for latency and cost, and own on-call reliability.
· Mentor engineers, write and defend RFCs, lead design reviews, and raise engineering standards.
· Collaborate closely with Product and GTM to deliver measurable outcomes.
Skills and Experience
· Strong production Python experience (backend/platform).
· Production AWS experience (deployments, infra patterns, observability).
· Experience with SQL/NoSQL (Postgres or DynamoDB).
· Familiarity with API frameworks (FastAPI, GraphQL, or REST).
· Containerization / Kubernetes (k8s) or equivalent deployment experience.
· Proven experience building event-driven ingestion / multi-source pipelines.
· Experience designing for multi-tenant isolation and data privacy.
· Comfortable owning systems end-to-end and being on-call.
Nice-to-haves (what makes you stand out)
· Worked on agent orchestration, planner/executor systems, or retrieval/context graphs.
· Pulumi/Terraform infra-as-code experience.
· Prior experience at early-stage startups (0→1 platform builds).
· Public engineering writing (RFCs, blog posts) or open-source contributions.
· Prior product work in AI/GTM or revenue ops tooling.
