The GTS Agronomist OR Senior Agronomist will play a key role in supporting growers and marketers to maximize the performance and profitability of the company’s proprietary fruit varieties, with a strong focus on table grapes. The role combines technical support, applied research, and close collaboration with licensees, ensuring the successful adaptation, management, and positioning of current and pipeline varieties in Chile and across the region.


Key Responsibilities

· Technical Support & Grower Engagement

- Conduct regular farm visits to licensed growers and provide technical recommendations to optimize vineyard performance.

- Diagnose production challenges, deliver practical solutions, and follow up on implementation.

- Prepare clear technical reports for growers and internal stakeholders, aligned with company standards.

· Variety Evaluation & Applied Research

- Plan, execute, and monitor field trials to address agronomic challenges impacting yield, fruit quality, and postharvest performance.

- Design and implement evaluation protocols for pipeline varieties, including test block management and best-practice guidelines.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret field data to support decision-making and technical innovation.

· Marketing & Communication

- Prepare, adapt, and disseminate technical content (guidelines, bulletins, newsletters, infographics, presentations, videos) across internal and external platforms.

- Contribute to digital channels (internal platforms, grower portals, social media, webinars) ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality technical communication.

- Lead and contribute to field days, grower meetings, and study groups, creating opportunities for technical discussion, joint analysis, and producer engagement, while sharing impactful materials that strengthen knowledge transfer and the company’s visibility.

· Data & Innovation

- Contribute to the development of digital tools and data systems to strengthen decision-making.

- Identify and assess new technologies relevant to viticulture and licensee success.

· Teamwork & Collaboration

- Actively participate in regional and global GTS initiatives, team meetings, and collaborative projects.

- Provide technical input to support licensing and business management decisions.

· Travel Requirements

- Frequent domestic travel across key production regions (Atacama, Coquimbo, Aconcagua, Metropolitan Region, O’Higgins, Maule).

- Occasional international travel (2 trips/year, 15–20 days total) to participate in company and/or team activities.


REQUIREMENTS:


· Education & Experience

- B.Sc. in Agronomy (M.Sc. preferred), ideally with specialization in Viticulture.

- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in a similar role (technical agronomist, farm advisor).

- Strong technical background in grapevine physiology, vineyard management, nutrition, irrigation, soil, and rootstocks

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose complex agronomic issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish; ability to adapt to diverse audiences.

- High level of initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn and test new approaches.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across seasonal demands.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

- Flexibility and mobility to travel frequently; availability for non-standard hours if required.

- Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive farm and company information.

- Valid driver’s license.


This role will be 100% remote. Candidate must live in Santiago or anywhere within the central region. Relocation assistance is not being offered.
