Cleanroom Technician - 1st & 2nd Shift - Sorrento Valley
Job Description
As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). Your role will contribute to achieving assigned production goals and meeting any unscheduled workload peaks to ensure the timely release of products and avoid back orders. You will collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications. Additionally, you will be involved in addressing corrective actions for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Address line issues and other production problems promptly and notify the Team Leader of required corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
- Utilize a computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of cleanroom environments, production processes, and GDP.
- Familiarity with SOPs and ability to give detailed examples of their use in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in machine operation, multi-tasking, quality assurance, packaging, inspection, and computer operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least two years of previous assembly/packaging experience.
- Experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of coagulation-based manufacturing processes and familiarity with GDP, GMP, GLP, FDA, and ISO.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Work Environment
There are openings on both the 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm) and 3rd shift (9:30pm to 6am), each with a shift differential in pay. The dress code requires wearing pants, without leggings, makeup, or lipstick. If necklaces are worn, they must be tucked into shirts. Glasses must have side shields, and ear protection is provided due to noise levels. The use of headphones and cell phones on the manufacturing floor is prohibited. Flexibility for overtime, including Saturdays, is required, with some overtime being voluntary and some mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.63/hr.
