Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Soils Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in soil mechanics and environmental engineering to provide innovative solutions for various projects. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity and stability of soil structures, conducting site investigations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct soil investigations and analyze soil properties for various construction projects.
  • Design and analyze foundations and retaining structures to ensure stability and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Perform laboratory testing of soil and construction materials to support project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on soil analysis, site investigations, and engineering recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate soil engineering solutions into overall project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with ASTM standards and other relevant regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate slope stability and provide recommendations for earthworks and grading activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in soils engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and environmental engineering principles.
  • Experience with foundation design and site investigation techniques is preferred.
  • Proficiency in laboratory testing methods for soil and construction materials.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
  • Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
