Job DescriptionJob Title: Marketplace AttendantDepartment: Food & BeverageESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful service to all guests and team members.
  • Foster a welcoming and fun environment for guests and co-workers.
  • Rotate between Marketplace venues as assigned, delivering consistent service across different concepts.
  • Prepare and cook food items to order, following recipes and portion standards.
  • Prepare specialty drinks, gelato, and other menu items as trained.
  • Team members under 21 years old may not pour or serve alcohol; all alcohol orders must be handled by a 21+ team member.
  • Operate the POS system accurately; process cash, credit, and payroll deduction transactions.
  • Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure product quality and guest safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters, equipment, and guest seating areas.
  • Stock, rotate, and replenish products during shift; report shortages to Leads/Supervisors.
  • Complete opening, running, and closing duties according to venue checklists.
  • Attend all required departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to all company policies, gaming regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Perform any reasonable job duty assigned to support operational needs.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Minimum of 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Ability to prepare, read, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and recipes.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain:
    • Gaming license
    • Food Handler Card
    • TiPS alcohol certification (if 21+)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operating instructions. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to accurately count and handle currency and operate a basic point-of-sale system.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and handle problems in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by federal, state, and local regulations, including a gaming license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift/move up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting.
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments, including hot kitchens and cold storage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is typically fast-paced and noisy. Team members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
