QC Associate Scientist
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in cell and molecular biology, including iPSC-related research. This hands-on role offers broad exposure to diverse products and testing methods within personalized medicine, regenerative medicine, and cell and gene therapy. Responsibilities:
- Perform QC testing for products according to established quality control procedures
- Conduct QC testing on deliverables arising from pre-clinical services as specified in Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Perform QC testing of in-licensed products and OEM product evaluations as needed
- Ensure all test data is accurate, complete, and compliant with GLP, applicable standards, and project timelines
- Prepare and maintain laboratory documentation including test records, notebooks, equipment logs, and certificates of analysis (COAs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Manufacturing, Service, Sales) to ensure timely testing, batch release, and issue resolution
- Support post-sale activities and transfer activities in collaboration with manufacturing or service teams
- Perform other duties as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field
- Hands-on experience culturing primary cells, iPSCs, and iPSC-derived cell types
- Expertise in immunostaining, flow cytometry, mycoplasma testing, and luminescence-based assays for cell characterization and quality control
- 2+ years of QC laboratory experience in a GLP environment (preferred)
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client expectations in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working in a lean team with broad responsibilities and a proactive mindset
Pay Rate:
- $33-40/hr
