We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Turlock, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key financial and accounting functions, ensuring seamless operations and accurate reporting. The ideal Accountant will have a strong background in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial systems, paired with expertise in tools like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Perform cost analysis and pricing calculations for stock items, including in-progress and finished goods.

• Prepare and analyze budgeting documentation and financial reports for management review.

• Generate and interpret periodic cost statements and statistical data to evaluate operational trends.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate journal entries and account balances.

• Assist in compiling budgets and controlling costs, with detailed analysis of monthly performance against projections.

• Evaluate project and product costing to identify opportunities for increased profitability.

• Develop and improve financial management systems and reporting tools to enhance efficiency.

• Conduct month-end close processes, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Utilize software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline accounting functions.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proven expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Strong analytical skills to assess operating results and budget variances.
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
