The Adaptive Fitness Instructor works under the guidance of the Fit for Life Manager to develop, implement, coordinate, and lead integrated individualized exercise/activity programs to participants at all levels; and, with a broad range of fitness, rehabilitation, and/or other specialized requirements.

Your Role & Responsibilities –
- Develop and/or complete necessary documentation to include data sheet documentation, semi-annual progress reports and annual goals, incident/injury reports, daily lesson plans, and other forms of documentation as requested by Directors.
- Provide information and support to staff for overall health and wellness.
- Tracking and updating Tanita Scale results for quarterly fitness incentives.
- Providing support on staff fitness challenges.
- Monitor gym, recreation park, central park, fitness court, fitness activities, and gym equipment.
- Plans and implements standard and specialized exercise regimen in response to assessed individual needs and assessed capability.
- Works with Fit for Life Manager to determine format and content of programs based on assessed participant abilities and needs, and on interpretation of physiological assessment and/or referral data.
- Provide training to adults who are mildly to profoundly disabled, and who may engage in aggressive and combative behaviors that require use of approved Behavior Emergency Safety Training (B.E.S.T.)
- Assists in conducting individual and group aerobic, strength, and flexibility exercises.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications –
- One year’s experience of personal training experience
- Must have experience in developing individualized training programs.
- One-year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in in with special needs and experience working with individuals.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred Associate of Arts.
Pay –
$21.00-$22.00 Hourly
Status –
Full-time (30 hours per week)
