Position Overview:
The purpose of the position is to guide the production team towards efficiency and daily goals. 
May be assigned to different areas of production. Will be responsible for PMOs and all other production employees. Will also be responsible for troubleshooting problems regarding the Company’s production systems as well as the analysis and problem-solving of those problems. The position requires basic counting and packaging, and the ability to work independently and with other team members in a fast-paced environment. Work schedule Monday through Friday with potential weekend work based on business needs. 
Key Responsibilities:
Within the Production Lead position there will be different responsibilities including but not limited to:

<li>Review order instructions to familiarize themselves with the upcoming orders before being set up on the floor. </li>
<li>Manage the hours of Production personnel, including ensuring Production personnel are attending their workstations when their shifts begin and enforcing meal and break times and all other policies concerning Production personnel as outlined in the Company’s Employee Handbook. </li>
<li>Ensure all scheduled machines are running properly, efficiently, and safely including ensuring all Production personnel are wearing the proper PPE. </li>

<li>Coordinate with employees to ensure components are ordered in a timely manner to avoid downtime during and in between order changeovers. Order components when personnel are not available. </li>
<li>Investigate physical inventory, Quarantine/Hold inventory, scrap and production paperwork to resolve issues with missing components, high scrap, job being ran short or other discrepancies with inventory/work orders. </li>
<li>Communicate with line leads, lead support and aisle support on any important details pertaining to the current work order being packaged to minimize errors, prevent excess scrap, and/or reduce unnecessary downtime. </li>
<li>Identify employees who are not meeting packaging speed expectations and train employees on best practices or methods for the specific task they are performing or place the employee with a mentor who is meeting the packaging speed expectations. Have the mentor show the trainee the best practices/methods used for the specific job at hand. </li>
<li>Request for technicians to adjust and/or repair equipment that cannot be repaired or adjusted by line leads or supervisors as needed. </li>
<li>Coordinate the moving of crews as needed for lot changes, machine breakdowns, order changes, or order priority changes. </li>
<li>Seek ways to improve the flow of the line that will increase productivity, reduce downtime and/or reduce excess scrap. </li>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Read and follow written and verbal instructions.</li>
<li>Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Notify leadership of issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.</li>
<li>Maintain quality standards.</li>
<li>Perform repetitive tasks and maintain a clean, safe working environment.</li>
<li>Practice 6S at all times.</li>
<li>Keep records of production quantities and time.</li>
<li>Assemble basic assemblies while meeting cycle time requirements.</li>
<li>Inventory parts and tools used in the assembly process.</li>
<li>Assess the quality of parts and materials used in production.</li>
<li>Test finished products for defects and pack finished products for shipment.</li>
<li>Perform part marking as required.</li>
<li>Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.</li>
<li>Follow quality standards and established safety procedures in all work performed.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred)</li>
<li>No prior experience required</li>
<li>Capable of operating/running a single process or machine with minimum assistance</li>
<li>Basic understanding of safety and quality best practices of machinery and equipment</li>
<li>Familiarity with hand tools and materials such as metals, plastics, or purchased items</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of inspection processes or instruments for tasks being performed</li>
<li>Proficient in basic math and following verbal/written instructions</li>
<li>Basic computer skills</li>
<li>Flexibility to commit to variable schedules and prompt arrival for shifts</li>
<li>Ability to be cross-trained in other departments to address high-demand periods</li>
<li>Willingness to work in other areas as needed</li>
</ul>
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
