The Assistant Director of Resident Care is a leadership role within a memory care and assisted living community in Fallbrook, CA. This position is responsible for overseeing resident care operations, managing care staff, and performing limited licensed clinical duties. The role is healthcare-adjacent, not a skilled nursing environment, and focuses on supporting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care delivery.&nbsp;Provides support to the Director of Resident Care in overseeing the supervision and training of caregivers and med- techs in the provision of personal services to residents in Independent, Assisted Living and Dementia/Alzheimer's disease care. POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Residential Counselor supervises operations at The Center's emergency shelter, Safe STAY Wellness Center, serving transitional-age youth (ages 18–24). This role includes staff supervision and development of shelter staff, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and ensuring continuous care for youth residents. The ideal candidate is trauma-informed, youth-centered, and committed to creating an affirming space that meets the physical, emotional, and health-related needs of all residents. 
This is a part-time position scheduled for 16 hours per week. This position is scheduled for awake overnight shifts on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Availability to be on-call for additional shifts as needed is preferred. 
PRIMARY ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Plans, organizes, develops and leads the overall operation in the memory care unit in accordance with federal, state and local laws</li>
<li>Partners with the Activities Director to ensure a variety of appropriate activities are available throughout the day and evening and that Care Managers are actively involved and engaged with activities</li>
<li>Designs, schedules and facilitates the memory care unit program incorporating Life Skills and a variety of dementia appropriate activities; establishes a cooperative relationship with the local Alzheimer’s Association chapter or other Alzheimer’s advisory organization</li>
<li>Ensures monthly family support group meetings are planned and facilitated; supervises C.N.A.s in the memory care unit.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>One (1) year management in dementia care required.</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to delegate assignments.</li>
<li>Competent in organizational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible schedule.</li>
<li>Sunday - Thursday </li>
