<li>Provide swim instruction based on approved curriculum.</li>
<li>Enforce all safety guidelines and regulations &nbsp;</li>
<li>Rescue swimmers needing assistance and administer First Aid and CPR when necessary.</li>
<li>Visibly inspect pool and swimming areas for cleanliness and possible maintenance issues.</li>
<li>Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment. Place and remove lane lines.</li>
<li>Report accidents and incidents to management. Complete required documentation and paperwork.</li>
<li>Complete all paperwork as it pertains to student records and progress reports.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform ad hoc duties as needed (e.g. office/clerical work, marketing &amp; event participation, etc).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Display excellent customer service and communicate to everyone who comes to the facility.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Smile and have fun during the entire shift. Assure that the last student gets the same enthusiasm as the first student.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED is preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must have a passion for the water and working with children.</li>
<li>Experience as a certified lifeguard, swimming instructor, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to work in a positive way with a wide range of students with special needs and varying ages.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Swimming experience preferred.</li>
<li>First aid/CPR certified</li>
<li>Positive attitude and friendly demeanor</li>
<li>Willingness to receive training</li>
<li>Strong swimming abilities preferred&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Physical, Chemical and Vision Requirements&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Must have ability perform the duties of a rigorous work schedule which includes lifting, loading, and unloading, and ability maneuver up to 50 lbs. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Dependable motor vehicle transportation a must. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to work in and around swimming pools with exposure to chlorinated and chemically treated water.</li>
<li>Potential Toxic or caustic chemicals</li>
<li>Exposure to motor noises and work near moving mechanical parts</li>
<li>Visually recognize an emergency</li>
<li>Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)</li>
<li>Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)</li>
<li>Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) and Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)</li>
