Aqua Tots Swim School is currently seeking a Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children by teaching them how to swim in a fun and safe environment. Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Provide a clean, organized, and safe work area</li>
<li>Follow all the safety guidelines and Aqua-Tots procedures</li>
<li>Attend monthly in-service training</li>
<li>Track student swim progression throughout the levels</li>
<li>Provide outstanding customer service to all guests</li>
<li>4-6 hour shifts teaching 8 or 9 classes back to back</li>
<li>Availability to work one weekend shift from 8:30am-3pm (Saturday or Sunday)</li>

WHAT DOES A SWIM INSTRUCTOR DO?
As a Swim Instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students every day. You will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop their water safety skills and enhance their swimming abilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating and implementing lesson plans, conducting group and individual lessons, and providing constructive feedback to students and their parents.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants in the pool area and maintaining a clean and organized teaching environment. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to all new instructors. However, a passion for swimming, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with children are essential for success in this role.

Being a swim instructor, you will be provided the training to teach swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3-months old, following the British Swim School aquatics program that is gentle, fun, and progressive. You will be assigned to a class schedule developed by manager(s) and interact with swimmers, and parents and/or guardians. Your Typical Responsibilities:

<li>Reports directly to and supports the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s).</li>
<li>Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment.</li>
<li>Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3pm-7pm), weekends (8am- 1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.</li>
<li>Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma,</li>
<li>Enthusiastic personality.</li>
<li>Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!</li>
<li>Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.</li>
<li>Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Experience working with children.</li>
<li>Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Customer service skills: 1 year preferred</li>
<li>Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training)</li>
