<li>In a company-provided vehicle, you will educate and advise students while teaching them the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel</li>
<li>We’ll assist you in obtaining the state-required driving instructor certification through our paid training program. Our training team will guide you through the requirements and provide the coursework to obtain your state license.</li>
<li>All of our lessons are taught in a Coastline Car and recorded with a dashboard camera for the safety of you and your student</li>
<li>The majority of the demand for driving lessons is in the afternoons and weekends as most of our students are on a school schedule. A typical day could consist of three, two-hour lessons.</li>
</ul>
 
What does training entail?
<ul>
<li>Training will consist of 60 hours of learning (40 hours of at home reading and modules and 20 hours of behind-the-wheel training)</li>
<li>In-person behind-the-wheel training in a Coastline car in your local area</li>
<li>You will shadow 3 in-car lessons as well as do 3 x 4 hours of training with a Certified Trainer</li>
</ul>
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving</li>
<li>Providing instruction on the rules of the road</li>
<li>Helping students to develop confidence in their driving skills</li>
<li>Gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations</li>
<li>Documenting and reporting on students' progress</li>
<li>Maintaining timely communication with your supervisor and support team</li>
<li>Maintaining professionalism with students and fellow team members</li>
<li>Attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>A genuine passion for helping people learn</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm in a learning environment</li>
<li>A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li>
<li>Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check</li>
<li>Must have 10 years of legal driving experience</li>
<li>A strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability</li>
<li>Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others</li>
<li>Ability to focus for extended periods of time</li>
</ul>
 
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle</li>
<li>Must be able to see and hear during all weather conditions</li>
<li>Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times</li>
</ul>
