Salary Information: $26 - $32/Hourly

Who We Are

Continental Maritime of San Diego, a Titan company, is a certified Master Ship Repair Contractor for the U.S. Navy. Our skilled professionals have performed hundreds of ship repairs for the Navy and Military Sealift Command. CMSD does repair on all types of major surface vessels including CVN, CG, and DDG, and all types of amphibious ships including LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, and auxiliary ships. Our work also includes repairs and alterations to a wide range of Combatant, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, and Habitability Systems.

Position Specifics

Continental Maritime of San Diego is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to support our operations. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and improvements to the facility and its associated equipment. Their duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling preventative maintenance tasks, reacting to maintenance emergencies, and duties assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have excellent written and oral skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the workforce.
• Must be able to acquire an OSHA 10 Hour Card of NAVSEA or approved equivalent.
• Must be capable of performing varying tasks during the course of the day.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be courteous in dealing with the workforce, military, government personnel and the public.
• Must be able to give direction to employees from various departments assisting on facility projects.
• US Citizenship is required
• The ability to obtain a DBIDS credential is required
• Must be able to work any shift
• As a condition of employment with Continental Maritime of San Diego, employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or have an approved exem

Physical Requirements

• May be exposed to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment.
• May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery.
• Frequently moves throughout the yard.
• Must be able to maneuver, ascend, and descend stairs/ladders/ramps located inside various ships.
• Ability to move more than 40 lbs.
• May be exposed to rapid changes in microclimates, industrial processes, and other environmental factors while collecting data, providing direction, and observing performance of task teams.
