Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate, trust administration, and trust litigation. Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing and filing probate, trust administration, and litigation documents, petitions, and supplements.
- Case Management: Maintain and organize complex case files. Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery, trial, and appeal.
- Discovery and Motions: Collaborate with attorneys and clients to propound and respond to discovery requests and motions. Calendar and track deadlines for pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
- Court Coordination: Arrange and coordinate court appearances, tele-appearances, filing deadlines, and reminders.
- Deadline Management: Maintain organized schedules and provide timely reminders to ensure attorney deadlines are met.
- Electronic Filing: Handle electronic filing of court documents.
- Communication Management: Communicate effectively with court clerks, bond companies, other law firms, trustees, and beneficiaries. Maintain regular communication with clients, by providing updates and gathering information as directed by attorneys.
- Intakes: Conduct new client intakes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in litigation.
- At least one year of experience in wills, trusts, probate and estate law (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Desire to learn and pursue advancement opportunities.
