Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job description:

The Flying Probe Test Operator is responsible for setting up and operating automatic and semi-automatic testing equipment used in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Working from process sheets and written or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor, this role ensures accurate testing, inspection, and compliance with specified quality standards and tolerances.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing of inner PCBs using Takaya machines and ATG flying probe test equipment.
  • Identify, document, and segregate defective boards for scrap or rework.
  • Rework excess copper shorts using an X-acto knife under a dynascope or magnification device.
  • Follow all work instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Verify testing results against established tolerances and specifications.
  • Communicate equipment issues, test failures, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
  • Meet production schedules, including availability for overtime and weekend work as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in PCB testing, specifically with flying probe test equipment.
  • Experience with Takaya and ATG testing systems is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision work under magnification.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
