Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established law firm that is seeking two Senior Attorneys or Partners to join their growing Labor & Employment Defense practice. The firm represents a wide range of clients across California in employment law matters, including workplace harassment, wrongful termination, wage & hour disputes, PAGA claims, class actions, and other complex employment-related litigation. A portable book of business is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employment litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial or arbitration.
- Conduct depositions, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with clarity and persuasive advocacy.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and agency proceedings.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy and client management.
Ideal Background:
- 7–15 years of experience in employment and labor defense litigation.
- Strong research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases or teams independently while working within a collaborative environment.
- A portable book of business is highly preferred.
- Experience with class actions, PAGA, or complex workplace disputes is a plus but not required.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 – $350,000, plus eligibility for discretionary annual bonuses and quarterly billable-hour bonuses. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as location/market, skills, education, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
