Position Overview
As a Safety & Quality Control Officer, you will ensure that all workplace operations comply with safety regulations and quality standards to minimize risks and maintain high-performance outcomes. Their primary goal is to create a safe work environment, enforce compliance with OSHA and industry regulations, and uphold quality control measures to deliver projects that meet Company, customer, and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry regulations.
- Conduct job site inspections, risk assessments, and safety training to promote a culture of safety.
- Investigate incidents, maintain safety documentation, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee quality control plans, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and correct punch list items, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and document performance.
- Stay updated on regulations, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance processes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction field operations.
- Trainer certifications such as OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer.
- Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and other industry regulations and standards.
- Experience working with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance preferred.
- Background in developing and implementing safety programs and quality control processes.
- Valid Drivers License and copy of Driver’s Record or Letter of Clearance from the DMV.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Work takes place both in a climate-controlled office and on active job sites with exposure to varying weather, dust, fumes, and equipment noise.
- Evening and/or early morning and/or weekend work may be required on an intermittent basis, to complete reports on a timely basis or for special projects and/or meetings and because of special hours of operation.
