Responsibilities:
As a Virtual School SLP, you'll have the opportunity to work with diverse caseloads, including:
- Elementary, Middle, and High School Students: Tailoring speech and language therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of students at different developmental stages.
- Individual and Group Sessions: Conducting one-on-one therapy sessions as well as facilitating group activities to promote communication skills and social interaction.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders, tracking progress, and adjusting therapy plans accordingly.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and social success.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid state license as a SLP
- Minimum of two years of experience working as an SLP in the school setting
