Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift

Pay: $20 to $24 hourly -
Without the strength of our Quality team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Press Break Operator Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Press Break Operator.
As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Press Break Operator, you will adhere to procedures and policies in support of the Quality Policy and Customer satisfaction. Support fabrication personnel by performing general fabrication duties to meet or exceed the company’s quality standards. Efficiently manage time, equipment and resources in order to support first time quality and on time delivery. The Press Brake Helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The Press Brake Helper shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The Press Brake Helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman’s policies and procedures.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist fabrication by pulling the required materials and setting up equipment.
- Prepare material for press brake operation.
- Perform general clean up.
- Report to Management improvements and recommendations that effect quality and / or on time delivery.
- Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
- Any other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and be able to interact with Management and staff.
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must have direct communication with internal customers.
- Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements.
- Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent in work experience.
- Entry level position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirement.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
- Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
- Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- No travel is required for this position.
