Job Title: Technical Program Manager - Photonics, Optical Transceivers
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Compensation: $150K - $250K base DOE plus equity
Requirement: 5+ years of product engineering / technical program management for photonics modules and high-speed optical transceivers (>50Gbps)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to lead our photonics modules projects. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of innovative photonics solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design and development of photonics modules.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define product specifications and requirements.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and departments to align project goals.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
- Proven experience in Technical Program Management, preferably in the photonics or optical transceivers industry.
- Proven track record of transitioning hardware products from design feasibility into qualified, volume-manufactured products, including firmware integration.
- Strong understanding of reliability, thermal, mechanical, packaging, firmware, and manufacturing aspects of photonic/electronic modules.
- Strong knowledge of photonics technologies and applications.
- Experience with product engineering and development processes.
- Familiarity with QSFP, OSFP, and high-speed (>50 Gbps) optical transceivers is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
