Associate Sales Representative in the aviation industry.

  • Location: Torrance, CA
  • Direct Hire, $40~46K/yr (Non-exempt) with excellent benefits
  • Work Hour: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Hybrid (Minimum two days per week in-office, Remote work permitted for remaining days) - After the first 90 days for training (Policy as of September 2025)

Requirements of the Associate Sales Representative:

  • 1–2 years of office work experience
  • At least 1 year of PC skills (Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; basic formula setup required)
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), Bilingual in Japanese and English is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
  • Understanding of cross-cultural environments (Japan and others)
  • Able to work overtime and business trip as necessary
  • Experience in export/import or the aviation industry is a plus

Responsibilities of the Associate Sales Representative:

Sales Support & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct market research to determine fair market value and provide accurate quotations to customers.
  • Promote services and maintain strong relationships with customers in the commercial aviation industry.
  • Follow up quotations and general sales inquiries to support business development.
  • Analyze sales and RFQ (Request for Quotation) history to develop strategic approaches for key accounts.
  • Assist in achieving monthly sales and profit targets under the supervisor’s guidance.

Order & Delivery Management

  • Process sales orders in alignment with customer delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to sales, including procurement, delivery control, and expediting.
  • Prepare and update various reports such as open sales orders and exchange logs.

Customer Credit & Compliance

  • Check customer credit status and submit annual credit renewal applications.
  • Make necessary updates to credit information in coordination with internal teams.

Technical & Product Knowledge

  • Learn to access and interpret technical data to respond to customer inquiries effectively.
  • Develop knowledge of commercial aircraft parts, including market trends and technical specifications.

Task Management & Reporting

  • Prioritize daily tasks based on urgency and complete assignments within designated work hours.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and entries related to sales activities.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, which may occasionally include after-hours tasks.
