Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist – Russell Bruce Hubbard MD Inc.
Russell Bruce Hubbard, MD Inc. is a growing outpatient private psychiatry practice located in San Diego, California. We provide an integrated mental health care model specializing in diagnostic evaluation, medication management and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
We are a highly functioning team with a long-standing reputation in San Diego. Our medical director, Bruce Hubbard M.D., has been practicing in the same area for over 40 years. Our clinical director, Ann Wycoff Ph.D. has been practicing for over 30 years.
We provide high quality care to our patients by creating a nurturing environment, staying current with research and providing medication management and advanced interventional treatment options.
By combining psychotherapy resources, medication management and TMS, we achieve treatment outcomes that exceed those with medication or psychotherapy alone. Our TMS practice has grown steadily since 2018, and we are the highest volume provider of TMS in San Diego County. We are a national expert in the provision of TMS for treatment resistant depression, anxiety and OCD.
We are seeking a skilled adolescent/adult psychiatrist to join our dynamic team to assume a vital role in growing and developing our practice. The psychiatrist will do diagnostic evaluations and create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs using psychopharmacology and interventional psychiatry approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform new patient diagnostic evaluations.
- Create personalized, comprehensive treatment plans for patients that may involve a combination of psychotherapy, medications and TMS.
- Collaborate with other clinical staff, providing consultation and guidance to the treatment team through expertise in medication management and therapeutic interventions.
- Perform TMS mappings and monitor and track effectiveness of TMS treatments to assess patient response, adjust treatment parameters when applicable, and determine need for changes to the treatment plan.
- Educate patients and families on the nature of their mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies to manage symptoms.
- Manage crises that may arise such as depressive or manic episodes, suicidal ideation, and acute psychosis.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in psychiatric care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, internal and external, to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Potentially lead research efforts with clinic staff demonstrating patient outcomes to treatment modalities.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Experience and credentials to work with adolescents
- Psychiatry Board-Certification (or eligibility)
- Valid California Medical License and current DEA registration
- Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to Psychiatric Physician Assistant and other medical staff
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in psychiatric medicine and related treatment modalities.
Compensation & Benefits
- $350,000 Annual Salary
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 160 hours (4 weeks) accrued annually.
- 10 Paid Holidays Off: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas + 2 additional as determined by the practice.
