Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to support and optimize the technology infrastructure within our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of systems that support production, automation, and enterprise resource planning (ERP). The ideal candidate will have experience in production environments and a strong understanding of both IT and operational technology (OT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain systems that support manufacturing operations, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, and ERP platforms.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration between IT systems and factory floor equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are applied across all systems, especially in OT environments.
  • Support automation initiatives by integrating PLCs, sensors, and other industrial devices with enterprise systems.
  • Lead or assist in system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Provide technical support and training to plant personnel and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with MES, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networking protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, C++).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server+, or ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and IoT integration.

Salary will be commensurate with experience
