About the RoleThe Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, supporting patients during routine care and critical diagnostic decisions. You will collect high-quality blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, and follow established procedures to ensure safety, accuracy, and patient confidence.This role requires a strong commitment to process excellence, confidentiality, and professionalism while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional patient-facing environment.
- Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
- Accurately maintain all required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
Job RequirementsRequired:
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent — Required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training — Preferred
- California State Phlebotomy License — Required
Work ExperienceRequired:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience
- Keyboarding and data entry skills
Preferred:
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
