Job DescriptionN/C Programmer job functions include creating N/C programs for various 3 & 5-axis machines in the company's machine shop. Programs are developed from customer engineering drawings/models per internal procedures to machine various part configurations needed to support customers. The programmer also develops CAD models and drawings to assist manufacturing personnel and creates tool designs for internally fabricated tooling.Responsibilities:
- Create N/C programs from customer-furnished data sets, blueprints, or sketches
- Build needed 3D geometries for N/C tool paths
- Support N/C machine operators
- Create set up books, N/C instructions for NC machining
- Support inspection and manufacturing department when required
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
- Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Formal Catia training required with Catia experience a must
- Unigraphics training and experience a plus
- Critical thinking skills and good decision making thought processes
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple manner
- Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization
Required Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with N/C machining, machine codes, cutting tools, feed and speed
- Minimum 5 years experience in N/C Programming in the aerospace industry with strong 3 & 5 Axis background
Pay Range: $24.00 to $33.00 (hourly estimate)
