Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Food QC Technician to join our team and ensure the highest quality standards in food production. This role involves working closely with the QA Manager to maintain and improve product quality through rigorous evaluation and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Complete product evaluation and risk assessments.
- Conduct quality assurance for shipping and receiving processes.
- Calibrate equipment and perform pH, brix, and color assessments.
- Adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Perform audits and ensure food safety compliance.
- Assist in preparing for FDA audits.
- Effectively communicate with team members and work in groups.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, CCPs, and GMPs.
- Experience with SQF certifications and food safety protocols.
- Lab knowledge and experience.
- Ability to multitask and work in teams.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, ideally 5+ years.
- Capable of coaching and teaching SOP standards.
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow.
- Strong presence and personality in the workplace.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large production and warehouse setting. The schedule offers two shifts: the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and the second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OXNARD, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
