A well-established Los Angeles litigation boutique is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Law team. The firm handles wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and PAGA claims—and does it with a collaborative, supportive culture that's serious about training the next generation of litigators.

What You'll Be Doing
- Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy
- Balance quality advocacy with achievable billables (160 hours/month)
What They're Looking For
- 1 or more years of employment litigation experience
- Experience with wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and/or PAGA matters
- Licensed and in good standing in California
- Comfortable working in the office Monday through Friday for at least the first 6 months
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a friendly, communicative team
- Strong writing sample required
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $115,000 to $165,000, depending on experience
- Bonus Opportunities: 10% on new business (whether or not you work the file) and Plaintiff contingency referral bonus
- Health, dental, and vision insurance (50% paid for you and your dependents after 30 days)
- PTO: 8 holidays, 6 sick days, vacation accruals increase with tenure
- 401(k): Eligible after 1 year and 7 months
Work Schedule
- Full-time in-office (Los Angeles) for the first 6 months
- Hybrid flexibility is available after 3 to 6 months
- 160 net billable hours/month target
Interview Process
- Two rounds, starting with an in-person interview (flexible based on circumstances)
- Writing sample required with submission
