Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing legal counsel on a wide array of financial services, including mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and regulatory compliance. This role is essential for ensuring that our financial operations comply with legal standards while effectively managing risks associated with banking, investments, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on mergers and acquisitions transactions.
- Represent clients in litigation matters related to financial services.
- Advise on risk management strategies in banking and investment activities.
- Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations.
- Assist clients with investment management and related legal issues.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents pertaining to financial services.
- Negotiate and draft contracts related to financial transactions.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance for financial institutions.
- Support corporate governance processes and compliance measures.
- Advise clients on real estate law and intellectual property law as it pertains to financial services.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- State bar membership and eligibility to practice law.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services law.
- Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and banking law.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in financial contexts.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Proven ability in contract negotiation and client representation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
