Concrete Estimator, for a Public Works Contractor

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator to provide accurate bid proposals and scope analysis for Public Works concrete projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Thoroughly review job bid instructions, detailed specifications, and prepare a comprehensive 'take off' of materials included in the project.
• Develop precise estimates of Concrete, labor, materials, equipment costs, etc., to create a thorough price estimate.
• Review proposals, specifications, drawings, and participate in pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and develop quantity take-offs if it is necessary.
• Ensure safety is integrated into means and methods decision making during the estimating phase.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors & Field Employees.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners and general contractors.

Requirements
• Several years of experience as an estimator on Public Works concrete projects.
• In-depth knowledge and field experience associated with poured-in-place or cast-in-place concrete construction, concrete footings, foundations, Walls, and Storm Drain Systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with contractors, suppliers, purchasing, sales, and others.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
• Knowledge of related structural products, including Forms Systems, Equipment, Materials etc.
• Ability to assemble a comprehensive scope of work with required information, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Proficiency in construction terminology and computer-aided estimating software packages.
• Proficient in Microsoft software applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and
