Overview:
Connexus Hub seeks a Storage Engineer to manage enterprise storage and backup/restore environments. This role ensures mission-critical academic data is available, secure, and recoverable under all conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SAN/NAS storage systems supporting academic applications and user data.
- Implement and monitor daily incremental and weekly full backups, with quarterly restore validations.
- Optimize storage allocation and performance for databases, LMS, and academic applications.
- Apply DISA STIGs to storage platforms and coordinate with Cybersecurity on remediation.
- Provide rapid recovery support during outages or data corruption events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field.
- 7+ years experience managing enterprise storage environments.
- Certification in storage technology (e.g., NetApp Certified, Dell EMC Proven Professional, HPE Storage Solutions).
- Strong background in backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam, Veritas) and restore validation.
- Clearance: Secret.
