Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating various CNC machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent specifications.
Duties
- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision parts.
- Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining tasks.
- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure parts meet design specifications.
- Conduct electrical discharge machining when required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Engage in plastics injection molding processes as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, CAD software, SolidWorks, and CAM programming is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tooling techniques.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
