Temp/temp to hire; Hybrid role, 3 days in office,
These would be their core duties.
- Provide highly responsive hardware and software support services for computer users; ensure problems are managed and resolved in a timely, professional manner; follow up with users to ensure satisfaction.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot workstation computers and peripheral devices; maintain server operating systems and services and ensure network interfaces and connections between system components.
- Provide software support by completing software installations and assist users of various levels of computer sophistication in the operation of a wide variety of new and existing software.
- Establish and maintain a variety of user accounts, user-related network resources, and security access protocols and systems.
- Perform routine research, analysis, and problem diagnosis, consult with internal and external technical staff when required, and repair or replace equipment as necessary.
- Complete basic or non-routine repairs at user locations or in a workshop; ensure more complex repairs are accomplished by vendors or outside contractors.

- Complete basic or non-routine repairs at user locations or in a workshop; ensure more complex repairs are accomplished by vendors or outside contractors.
- Take obsolete equipment out of service and record asset disposal using established systems.
- Serve as backup for other Information Systems staff members in a mutually supportive team environment and respond to system failure and maintenance emergencies.
- Provide on-call, after-hours support to respond to system and network issues and alerts and perform equipment maintenance.
Experience and Qualifications
- A high school diploma supplemented by two years of college coursework or training programs in computer information systems, data processing principles, computer operations, and operating software programs, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
- One to four years of increasingly responsible experience providing hardware and software support services for computer users. Training and/or certification a plus.
- Experience providing desktop, server, network, and enterprise application support services for an integrated information system environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting of computer systems, peripheral devices, and network operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with Windows and macOS systems.
- Experience assisting employees of varying levels of computer expertise; ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to staff of all levels of technical sophistication.
- Ability to diagnose and repair problems with computers, peripheral devices, and network-related equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with workstation peripherals, switches, routers, 1000BaseT Ethernet, and PC hardware.
- Experience compiling and maintaining records, logs, databases, and inventories of computer service-related information and equipment
- Demonstrated ability to lift and move workstations, monitors, and peripherals; ability to use hand tools; ability to crawl beneath desks and tables.
- Ability to think logically and analyze technical information, including written manuals, computer/ equipment mechanisms and parts.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to prescribed routines and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to complete concurrent assignments in an efficient and responsive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a service-oriented team; capacity to establish, maintain and foster cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods of time, bending, climbing, or walking; the final candidate can anticipate a pre-employment physical.
- The candidate selected for this position must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background investigation; periodic re-checking of criminal background will be a condition of employment.
