Salary/Payrate:$100K-$130K annually or contract hourly rate (W2 / 1099), bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!
Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH) HIGHLY Prefer this person to be in the office for the first few weeks 100% of the time for training

The Paralegal position will provide organizational and practice specific assistance to attorneys in the Department in preparing cases from onset through post-trial, including related research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assists attorneys in in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial
- Oversees organization, maintenance and appropriate utilization of documents and other case-related materials, including maintenance of client-presentable and efficient work areas and case rooms
- Assists and manages with the discovery process, prepares for depositions, propounds and responds to written discovery and prepares for expert discovery
- Oversees and conducts document reviews and document productions; prepares documentation regarding criteria changes; tracks and reports on review progress and results
- Performs analytical tasks, prepares witness interview memoranda, reviews and summarizes documents, deposition, court transcripts and creating and using substantive coding tools
- Assists with basic legal research, including locating cases, statutes and regulatory materials; conduct fact research on internet and private search engines, such as Westlaw and Lexis
- Assists with law and motion practice, assembles motion papers and exhibits, coordinates filings of pleadings and briefs and ensuring proper service
- Drafts common pleadings, motions, notices and other court filings
- Familiar with federal and state rules of procedure and evidence for document format, content, filing, etc. and ensures compliance with rules
- Performs and oversees both simple and complex authority and fact cite-checking; confirms case quotes, proofreads briefs and other legal documents
- Assists and manages trial preparations, creates trial notebooks, identifies and organizes exhibits, coordinates witness schedules, maintains trial calendars and communicates effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staff
- Assists in preparation of post-trial filings including briefing, motions for costs and sanctions, etc. and organize the case for appeal if necessary
- Maintains timely and accurate timekeeping records on a daily basis
- Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:

- Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, outstanding organizational skills and ability to learn new technology
- Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
- Skilled at drafting clear and concise memoranda, detailed fact summaries, pleadings and other documents
- Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
Education & Prior Experience:
- Bachelors Degree required, Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Certified Paralegal a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Litigation practice area
- Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
- Bluebook and Trial skills required
- Trial experience, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation and management, knowledge of subpoena preparation, experience working with judicial assistants and trial presentation vendors, experience assisting attorneys in the courtroom
Technology:
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management
- Proficiency with E-filing and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Opus 2 and Adobe Acrobat
