Job Summary: The IT Technician reports to the Chief Information Officer; s/he is responsible for providing comprehensive PC and network support throughout the clinic
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Fulfill all responsibilities with customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
· Ensure all tier1 requests and/or issues are addressed in a timely manner.
· Accurately route issues where assistance is required.
· Maintain all user accounts and the Global Address Book.
· Complete Inventory/Asset management.
· Workstation and related equipment setup for meetings and special events.
· Maintain structured cabling and professional appearance of IT equipment.
· Assist with technical documentation of systems, policies and processes.
· Assist with creation and documentation of IT systems and networks.
· Assist with the creation and documentation of technical knowledge base for common issues experienced by end users.
· Respond to users request for technical help (Help Desk and/or Desktop Support).
· Filter incoming Helpdesk tickets and attempt to troubleshoot and resolve.
· Providers next tier support from Helpdesk staff member(s).
· Ensure all IT support requests are submitted according to protocol.
· Provide user-level technical support for end-users, computers, printers, etc.
· Provide user-level training on daily applications used, including but not limited to:
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other primary computer-related skills.
· Emphasis on soft skills and customer service, in addition to technical/hard skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Assist with end-user system updates and monitoring, including:
Patch management, spyware removal and testing, virus checking, policy adherence, ensuring backup of data files, etc.
· Assist with user management such as adding and deleting users from Active Directory, Electronic Health Records, working with emails, unlocking accounts, etc.
· Phone system support including user training.
· Monitor printers, copiers, and e-fax systems to make sure they are working properly and getting regular maintenance.
· Ensure all IT equipment is asset tagged and keep track of asset tag inventory list.
· Travel to the other sites as needed.
· Provide high degree of professionalism and end user satisfaction and work well with others.
· Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
· Minimum of 3 years of computer network technology experience.
· Must have reliable transportation since they will be traveling to all 6 sites sometimes
· Experience in Healthcare IT (highly preferred), Windows 10 and 11
· Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2022 and Higher
· Experience with common MS Office Suite or Office 365
· Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of current fundamental IT technologies
· Must have knowledge of various IT components including emails, firewall, client-servers, network security, network protocols, etc.
· Experience with computer and printer maintenance and repair.
· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills; able to articulate and convey complex problems into easily understood terms.
· Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
· Ability to articulate and convey complex problems into easily understood terms.
· Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
· Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities
· Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
