Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical maintenance, and field service operations. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment across various residential properties. Candidates with experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and property maintenance are highly encouraged to apply. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to ensure proper system installation and repairs.
- Perform equipment repair using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical issues related to refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, and appliance repair.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities.
- Maintain detailed records of service work performed and parts used.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields such as construction or property maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and appliance repair techniques.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair effectively.
- Welding skills are a plus for certain repair tasks.
- Familiarity with field service operations and property maintenance procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in general equipment repair.
