A K-12 school in Montague, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve on a contract basis for the current school year. This role involves providing direct speech-language therapy services and teletherapy sessions to support students communication needs. The position fills a temporary vacancy and requires replacing the current SLP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Deliver in-person and teletherapy services to students, adapting approaches as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student improvements
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably across multiple grade levels
- Proficiency in both in-person and teletherapy modalities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for collaboration with students and educational staff
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to changing student needs
